Life V3

The fountains are dry and the roses over.
Incense of death. Your day approaches.
The pears fatten like little buddhas.
A blue mist is dragging the lake.

You move through the era of fishes,
The smug centuries of the pig-
head, toe and finger come clear of the shadow.

History nourishes these broken flutings,
These crowns of acanthus,
And the crow settles her garments.
You inherit white heater, a bee's wing,
Two suicides, the family wolves,
Hours of blankness.
Some hard stars already yellow the heavens.
The spider on its own string crosses the lake.
The worms quit their usual habitations.
The small birds converge,
converge with their gifts to a difficult borning.

To this we give life,
The most important essential of life.

Forgotten Soilder

I dreamed one man stood agaisnt a thousand,
One man damned as a hard-headed fool.
One year and another he walked the dusty streets,
And a thousand shrugs and grunts met him,
Met him in the shoulders and the mouths he passed.

He died alone,
So alone only the Undertaker came to his funeral.

Flowers grow over his grave swaying in the wind,
And over the graves of the thousands that were slain too.
The flowers grow, swaying in the wind.

Flowers and the wind,
Flowers swaying, gentle breeze passing over the graves.
Petals of red,
Leaves of yellow,
Streaks of white,
Masses of purple sagging.....

I love you and your great way of forgetting.

Why Darkness

Why revelations?
Why earth corruptions?
Why salvations?
Why eliminations?

Side by side, day by day,
Search for the reason.

Light by light, slay my mind
There is no solution.

Dark is the sunlight, we cast the right together.
Dark is the sunlight, or I'm blind forever.
Dark is the sunlight, can we spend the light together.
Dark is the sunlight, or I might be blind forever.

Why unification?
Why segregation?
Why communication?
Why termination?

Albert

A woman in a grocery store happened upon a grandfather and his poorly-behaved 3-year-old grandson.. It was obvious to her that Gramps has his hands full with the child screaming for candy in the candy aisle, cookies in the cookie aisle; same for fruit, cereal and soda in their respective aisles. Meanwhile, Gramps was working his way around, saying in a controlled voice, "Easy, Albert, we won't be long -- easy, boy."
Another outburst, and she heard Gramps calmly say, "It's okay, Albert, just a couple more minutes and we'll be out of here. Hang in there, boy."
At the checkout, the little terror was throwing items out of the cart, and Gramps again in a controlled voice was saying, "Albert, Albert, relax buddy, don't get upset. We'll be home in five minutes; stay cool, Albert."
Very impressed, the woman went outside where Gramps was loading his groceries and the boy into the car.
"You know, sir, it's none of my business, but you were amazing in there. I don't know how you did it. That whole time, you kept your composure, and no matter how loud and disruptive he got, you just calmly kept saying things would be okay. Albert is very lucky to have you as his grandpa."
"Thanks, lady," said Gramps, "But, I'm Albert -- the little bastard's name is Steve

Hope V2

Hope, anything that one wants, and at
the moment of 'hope' they do not have.

If hope were a feeling, I would hope,
it be one of honesty and integrity.
I would hope it would be love and empathy.

If hope were a food, I would hope it
would be filled with nourishment.

If hope were music, I would hope, it
was the kind of music, that you loved.

If hope were a sound, I would hope it
would by a symphony of love.

If hope were a religion, I would hope it
was your religion.

If hope were belief, then I would hope,
that belief would be, that there is one
Supreme Being; who is by-lingual and
of all faiths, and all creeds and colors.

If hope were knowledge, I would hope,
it had patience, understanding, the
ability of comprehending the other
persons point of view. I would also hope,
that it had an unquenchable thirst,
to continue to learn by experience and
research.

If hope could be seen, I would hope, all
would see, the good in their fellow man.

If hope were a wish, I would hope
that all your dreams, and ambitions
came true.

If hope were you...if hope were me, I
would hope, we never lost sight of
those less fortunate. I would hope
we would never be so self-centered
or busy, that we neglected to extend
a helping hand, to those in need.

Finally if you hope this ends, let me
conclude by saying....

If hope were a human, I would hope, that it
realized, that if we want a better world,
then we have to be better ourselves.

My Vision

E-mail from "Unknown"

Dear Chris,

I'd love to see you get back into your more deep-visioned poems. Any chance that's going to happen?

With this I respond, Vision? What do you know about my vision? My vision would turn your world upside-down, tear asunder your illusions and the sanctuary of your own ignorance crashing down around you. Ask yourself... are you really ready to see that vision? When I write poems or short stories, my visions are ALWAYS there, You just have to find them.

Thanks for reading.

Who Are We? Really?

I'm sick and tired of people saying "I'm so and so" and "I think I'm".. Personally, in my opinion, we as a person really doesn't know who we are, or better yet, who we think we are. Yes your probably reading this and are wondering, Chris, just what in the hell are you saying, I know who I am. Take a quick second to ask yourself these question: Who am I? Who do I want to be?

You see everyone has two sides to them, no not the good vs evil which just crossed your minds, no no, the two sides I'm talking about is whom you are and whom you think you are. These can be very different or quite the same.

As for me, I'm Chris! Outgoing, laid-back, bizarre, ugly, fun. As for who or what I think I am, I have no clue.

Now it's your turn readers, post a comment on this blog post telling who you are, who you think you are, and who you want to be. No names are required but wouldn't hurt nonetheless.

Endless haze of affection

You believed in moments not conceived,
You believed in me,
A patient in spirit,
Un-compromise,
Without us in your heart,
A light in your eyes that,
Ends all lies.

Vacant, broken,
Fell at the hands of time,
Those moments that I wouldn't see,
Cause you, you pray for me too,
To lift me off my feet,
Even when I have my bad days,
What have I done to deserve,
To deserve a friend like you.

What have I done to be worthy,
To keep your heart,
Endless haze of affection.

Please forgive this selfish question, but
What am I to say,
Every night before I bed,
She never told me once before,
Well might of told me truth before,
But never compromised,
I love you,
I love you.

But surely you'll feel the same way,
Alright, now it's time for me to let you know,
This Dr. Pepper taste good.

True Apathy

Look at me, aren't I keen,
on the precious means, than you have seen.

I loathe self pity, and swallow Honor,
Pick up the pen you fool, and make a difference....

Pun dents spew of their own success,
while the poverty lays a mess...
Apparently their words of not helping,
Humanity is diminishing by a blind man's stare...

Apathy is the hearts intent,
to take away of man's vent....
concerning problems that don't really matter....
and a country that hangs barely on the ladder...

I might be talking crazy, or maybe its just you,
I feel its time to start anew.
A new quest, not another jest,
Time to make the best,
Of the ruthless unrest....
that haunts this world....

Divine Intervention

Divine intervention is commonly referred to a miracle caused by a God's active involvement in the human world.

Some people say and think divine intervention happens all the time, and some say not. Does a person who does not believe in God experience this so called divine intervention? If a person does truly witness an act of God, than how does that person actually know it was an act of God? Who are we to judge whether or not any divine interventions are real or just made up to replace a word commonly known as luck?

Here's a little scenario, let's say I, Chance, am standing in front of a guy shooting off a gun. He shoots out five rounds at which none of them hit me, but, the bullet holes are embedded in the wall directly behind me.

Now some of you might think this is divine intervention, but others might argue that it is luck. How could it be luck if the bullet holes are directly behind me, a good Christan might argue. Than again the same with a non-believer in God, they might argue that it was all luck.

The whole point I'm trying to make clear is this, no matter who you are and where you are, believe in your own beliefs. Don't let others make you believe in something that you know or don't want to know. Only you can really decide for yourself.

Love You

Drop a tear,
It releases the fear.
Feel her near,
and tell it to her ear
I'll love you to the end of years.

Dreams

A good friend of mines wrote this.

Dreams that come true are wonderful
Dreams that don't, are dreadful.

There is a reason why they do not come true,
The reason is, you set a target to high, and end up failing.

The dream come's crashing down
Hurtling at a great speed, back towards you.

You see, nothing is simple, not even a dream,
Only when you look at this world, this reality we live in, do you see.

You know know the reason dreams come crashing down upon you,
The world, none of it, not fair, it swallows you whole, then spit's you back out.

So, picture the world as it is, how it was, and how it will be,
This is a dream.

Life V2

Note to my readers, this poem is intended for anyone who is reading it; never take life for granted no matter how "bad" it might be. There's always another cycle on which life can surpass. So keep this bit in mind and live life to it's fullest and remember, no one is immune to the trials and tribulations of life.

LIFE…..
LIFE IS JUST A JOURNEY,
LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL,
I AM GRACEFUL WITH MY LIFE,
BUT WHY IN LIFE WE NEED TO BE SAD,
WHY LIFE YOU BRING LIGHT IN MY LIFE,
THEN IN SUDDEN YOU MAKE MY LIFE DARK,
LIFE……
LIFE IS JUST LIKE A CANDLE,
SOMETIMES IT’S SHORT OR LONG,
IT’S ALWAYS HAVE IT CYCLE,
LIFE…..
WHY MAKE PEOPLE BE TOGETHER,
WHEN IT NOT GOING TO LAST LONG,
WHY DO WE NEED THIS LIFE,
WHY IS OUR LIFE COMPLICATED,
WHY……
LIFE IS SO MEAN TO US,
IT’S HILARIOUS,
FUNNY, FULL WITH JOY,
OR MAYBE LIFE IS FULL WITH SADNESS,
LIFE…….
DO YOU REALLY GOING TO GIVE ME LUCK,
GIVE ME JOY,
GIVE ME HAPPINESS,
LIFE PLEASE DON’T TAKE THIS FEELING FROM ME,
PLEASE LIFE,
PLEASE……
SO LIFE IT’S ALL DEPEND ON YOU,
ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN IN LIFE,
SO WE MUST ALWAYS BE PREPARE,
BECAUSE ANYTHING COULD HAPPEN IN LIFE…

For a lost child

The cold
Struck like needles to the bone.
A thin sheet
Miserable in keeping
Any warmth within.
Shivering out of control
Beside this shivering body
A small child
Who is too still,
Who no longer has a pulse.
The piercing scream
As a mother weeps
For a lost child
Who will never have a chance
to fill his dreams.
A withered young soul
Offers his condolences
A hug,
A touch of hope.
If only for a moment
Her weeping eyes
Show a glisten of love
That helps give the strength
For all those,
To push through
Painful hard times.
No matter what
The story is
Remember,
Love is what gives.

A sunny day

A sunny day with the sun shining bright.
A sunny day with all our fear of night.
A sunny day without a cloud in the sky.
A sunny day with the warmth reaching a high.

With the sun shining bright we are,
careless and free,
they can see all the love between you and me.

The sun is going down,we must say goodnight.
You lay there in your peaceful sleep.
You are what I know I need to keep.
Friends and family don't know a thing.

They try to take you. Tear you away.
They try to take you and make me pay.
Pay for my mistakes. All those rainy days.
They don't know the hurt and pain

They may try to hide,
but I see it through
knowing I'll still have you.
At least for another sunny day.

Nature

I have a story, forever untold,
I cradle it everyday,
With my heart’s desire,
Though it hurts within.
As the light fades
And the day ends,
It is enriched further.
But my tired heart rests.
Deep down, it cries and sighs,
Pines to sneak beyond the closed doors,
But, it retires till eternity,
Alone, sinned and torn for life,
But, one day here soon,
I'll be with the love of my life.

Glory

Many times life's challenges are greater than we acknowledge them to be.
Through your dreams lies destination.
A future which you control.
Possibilities of achievement lingers about.
Your dreams a mere grasp away.
Strive with all your might, don't loose faith within yourself and
sweet life shall be rewarded.
With a gentle kiss of glorified pleasures.

Believing Around

How strange that we can begin at any time.
With two feet we get down the street.
With a hand we undo the rose.
With an eye we lift up, to peace, and hold it up to the wind; white blossoms at our feet.
Like today, I started in the started with my paper and pen, wind to my back, now walking down to the park.
Amazed that sun is only so high, just couple houses down, a child is singing, and a terrier is leaping like a flea.
This way that way, we're making shadows.
Where sunlight was, making words.
Where there was only noise in the trees, the wind blows rapidly.
It's just the wind and I, nothing else, thus sparks my inspiration.

Wind

Wind blowing throught the trees,
Wind blowing the sand around.
Wind throwing the leaves,
Wind brushing the grass.
Wind push with all its might agains the rock,
Wind pushing the kite.
Wind causing friction to the air plane,
Wind breaking leaves from the tree.
Wind blowing the paper bag through the air.

Wind.

Wind is nice,
Wind can hurt,
Wind can love,
Wind can care,
But after all,
Wind is the source of energy.
